Build Your Own Pavilion

Rhianna, age 13

My pavilion is located in Dumbeth Park Coatbridge, Scotland. The outside of my pavilion was inspired by a sunflower and the rest of the shapes just came from my imagination. My pavilion will be used by the public for shelter and relaxation. The public can sit in the shade provided by the round shape in the centre or they can sit on the stair-like benches and see the park from a raised point of view. The materials I would use are, metal for everything apart from the benches and the lines connecting the curved shapes on the outside. They would be made from wood, painted with bright colours to make the pavilion’s appearance appealing.
