Build Your Own Pavilion

Jack, age 16

My Pavilion is located in the centre of Battersea Park, where there is a small square with a concrete ground. It is currently not very interesting, and does not use Battersea Parks’ great location to its full advantage. It will be made out of a combination of stainless steel and aluminium, so it will not corrode easily, will be malleable, will catch the light during the day, and at night will reflect the shimmering water that will accompany the pavilion in the ‘moat’ The ‘moat’ runs all the way around the pavilion and through the middle, and will be the talking point and centre of the pavilion. This would hopefully be a fun and interesting place where people can interact and enjoy, and the water aspect definitely helps enhance this, as well as the benches and tables seen in the MDF model.
