Our Pavilion will be located in Cambridge where anyone can come and visit. The structure will be a social space and a way to shelter from the rain. The Pavilion will be built out of white plastic, a range of dark wood like oak, spruce and mahogany, as well as glass. We think that city planners should consider making things usable by everyone when planning for our neighborhood.
I like how the open form responds to the social programme. Your pavilion makes me think of Yona Friedman’s Serpentine Summer Houses – an architect with a social agenda! Agree with your last point wholeheartedly!
