Build Your Own Pavilion

Mabel, age 15

Gazer is a woodland pavilion which allows people to take shelter from the elements and focus their attention on controlled views. It would be built from a timber frame with timber slats which would be ebonised to give a deep black colouring. It would have metallic stairs because that would help show the difference between the natural and man-made structures. Gazer is more of a private pavilion which people can retreat to. One of the best times to visit Gazer is at night for it has a mechanism which allows the structure to tilt backwards so you can get a better view of the stars, like an observatory.
